Competitive Math is a mathematics enrichment program targeted to gifted/high-achieving 2nd–12th graders. This is a challenging program. The topics we covered are much broader and deeper than those found in a typical math curriculum. Besides developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills in math, the program provides students with a solid understanding of mathematical concepts and exposes them to a variety of challenging math problems. This course is the second course (CD) of a two-course sequence Fundamentals 4 under Competitive Math for gifted/high-achieving 4th-6th graders. It lasts for 18 sessions, with 2.5 hours in each session. Topics to be covered: Factors; Fractions (Addition/Subtraction); Integers; Fractions (Multiplication/Division); Decimals; Probability.
