Activity Details:

In this class, students will be introduced to the basic concepts of game design and sequential storytelling through hands on projects and immersion into a digitally interactive experience. This class will help students hone their analytical, technical, and compositional skills as CMA Teaching Artists introduce them to narrative concepts, graphic design techniques, and user-friendly coding software, such as Scratch. Through simple coding, students will collaborate to bring their original art and story into a point and click game. Students will also learn about the history, process, and various types of video games throughout time as they imagine and create their own! The class will culminate with an interactive arcade that they can share 9-10AM DROP OFF:Check in. An hour of open activities before class. 10AM–4PM CLASS:Lunch break at 12 PM, supervised outdoor play . 4-5PM PICK UP:Parents check in before picking up. One hour of open activities after class. $25 late pickup fee after 5pm

How to Prepare / What to Bring: Campers must bring lunch, snacks, a water bottle and sunscreen. A refrigerator is available for storing lunch.
